In my last blog post, I may have gone on a little bit about how unimpressed I was with Obsidian. 

Yeah. 

I take it back.

I forced myself further into the book and I suddenly reached a point where everything changed. I found myself unable to put it down. I think this is mostly due to the development of Daemon. I really started to like his character and even stranger, I actually started to like Katy. Which is an achievement in itself because I so often have issues with female leads. It was refreshing for her to acknowledge that Daemon was being a dick and to therefore refuse to declare her undying love for him, purely because he was attractive.

I then read book 2, Onyx, in two days flat on my superlongandcrazy train journey to and from Liverpool. 

I'm about to start book 3, Opal. Watch this space. I feel a better review coming for this series.

Although I still hate the incessant dot dot dotting ... just saying.
